GSCF Affiliate Program

The Greater Salina Community Foundation’s Affiliate Program provides a mechanism to build local philanthropy across north central Kansas. Affiliates receive financial and administrative services, marketing support, on-going training, and technical assistance from GSCF staff.

Community foundation awards fall grants

Over $52,000 was awarded to charitable projects in Mitchell County during the Solomon Valley Community Foundation’s fall grant cycle. Grants were funded through the Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund and the Community Impact Fund for Solomon Valley. The following organizations received funding: City of Glen Elder/Waconda Baseball, $6,000 for additions and improvements to enhance the baseball field. USD 272, $5,073 to support a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) classroom at Lakeside Elementary School. Fall grant applications available June 1

The Solomon Valley Community Foundation is seeking applications for fall grants. Online applications will be available June 1 and are due August 1, 2018. Grants will be funded through the Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund, with $50,000 available for charitable projects and programs that address education, health care, community social services and security, conservation and environment, arts and culture, and community beautification. Nonprofit organizations, government and public entities, educational institutions and churches are encouraged to apply.
