Solomon Valley Community Foundation accepting grant applications

The Solomon Valley Community Foundation is now accepting applications for fall grants. Online applications are available now and due August 1, 2019.

Over $50,000 is available to charitable projects in Mitchell County. Grants will be awarded from the following funds:

  • Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund – available for programs and projects that address education, health care, community social services and security, conservation and environment, arts and culture, and community beautification.
  • Community Impact Fund for Solomon Valley – available for projects that improve the quality of life for Mitchell County residents.

Grants are limited to communities in the Solomon Valley service area and will be awarded through a competitive application process. Nonprofit organizations, government and public entities, educational institutions and churches are encouraged to apply. Applications must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. on August 1. During its spring grant cycle, the community foundation awarded over $51,000 to 21 different projects across Mitchell County, including the communities of Glen Elder, Tipton and Beloit.
