SVCF ACCEPTS FIRST ROUND OF GRANT APPLICATIONS
In December 2014, SVCF held its first grant cycle, awarding just over $3,000 to four organizations. The foundation's Community Impact Fund was utilized to generate the available grant dollars.

Today the Community Impact Fund is around $1.7 Million and generates approximately $75,000 annually in spendable revenue!

TIMELINE:
SVCF's scholarship applications are open November 1st - February 15th of each year, with announcements awarded in April.

Take the eligibility assessment. SVCF is an affiliate of the Greater Salina Community Foundation which manages scholarships for itself as well as other affiliates. Students in our service area may also qualify for scholarships from other foundations within our network. The eligibility assessment will ensure you are made aware of all potential scholarship opportunities you may qualify for. *The eligibility assessment is available from November 1st to February 15th.

Fine Arts Future Development Higher Education Scholarship
Graduation high school seniors in the Solomon Valley area, including Mitchell, Cloud, and Jewell Counties, that are pursuing a major in Instrumental Music or Art
George Hoy Scholarship
Students graduating from Beloit High School or St. John the Baptist High School.
Tom Lynch Educational Scholarship
Graduates or graduating high school seniors from the follwoing KS counties: Mitchell, Cloud, Jewell, Republic, Clay, Lincoln, Washington, Ottawa. Applicants must plan to enroll full time at a college, university, community college, or vocational/technical school in Kansas or Neraska in the year the scholarship is to be applied.
Fine Arts Future Development Summer Camp Scholarship
Junior and senior high school students in the Solomon Valley area, including Mitchell, Cloud, and Jewell Counties, that are pursuing a summer music or art camp.
Attention: Students interested in applying for the summer camp scholarship do not need to take the eligibility quiz. Just enter access code "camp" to access the application.

Do I have to submit my FAFSA?
No, not unless specifically requested. However, some scholarships are awarded based on financial need and will require your Student Aid Report to view your Expected Family Contribution and make a decision on your eligibility.
Do I need to wait until I am accepted for admission to be eligible to apply for scholarships?
No, not unless specifically requested. However, you must be admitted and enrolled at an accredited college or university before the community foundation will disperse your award.
How do I know if my application went through?
You will receive a confirmation sent to the email associated with your login every time an application is submitted.
Can I apply for more than one scholarship?
Yes. You are encouraged to apply for all scholarships that you meet the eligibility requirements.
Does my transcript have to be official?
No. Transcripts will be accepted in official or unofficial format. The only requirement is that they are uploaded to the online system in an acceptable file format.
When will I kow if I recieved a scholarship?
Applications are reviewed between February 25 and March 15. You will be notified of the committee's decision in April or May, depending on what you have applied for.
How do I claim my scholarship?
To claim your scholarship, login to your scholarship portal. This can be done by clicking "Login Here" on the "Scholarships" page. Follw up forms will need to be completed for each of the schoalrship s you have been awarded: scholarship acceptance form, thank you note, and photo.
