Give to Grow

ANNUAL EVENT: APRIL

Give to Grow is a one-day matching initiative aimed at increasing visibility, sustainability, and long-term endowment growth for area non-profits. Donor gifts received during the event are matched proportionately, up to 100% from SVCF's match pool. After years of support for our own Match Month, we are thrilled to now be able to provide this same opportunity to our Organization Funds to help them grow their own endowments.

ENDOWMENT BUILDING

Give to Grow helps area nonprofits secure long-term financial stability by building their endowments. Strengthening these funds ensures they can continue serving the community for years to come, adapting to future challenges and opportunities.

DONOR ENGAGEMENT

Give to Grow provides an opportunity for donors to learn more about the nonprofits in our area and invest in causes they care about. By leveraging matching funds, individuals can make a lasting difference, fostering a culture of generosity and sustained giving.

COMMUNITY IMPACT

Every dollar donated and matched through Give to Grow directly enhances local nonprofit programs, expanding their reach and effectiveness. This initiative empowers organizations to grow their capacity and deepen their impact leading to a stronger more vibrant Mitchell County.

COLLABORATION

Give to Grow provides a platform for nonprofits to share their mission, connect with the community, and engage new supporters; providing visibility, resources, and a shared space to promote lasting local impact.

What is Give to Grow?

Give to Grow is a one-day matching event organized by SVCF, aimed at empowering Mitchell County nonprofits. Designed to boost the long-term capacity of organizations, the event focuses on growing endowments through matching donations. In addition to financial support, Give to Grow provides a platform for nonprofits to netowrk, share their missions, and increase visibility.

As a result of successful Match Month campaigns, and with the support of the Patterson Family Foundation, SVCF has set aside $50,000 in matching funds for qualifying Mitchell County nonprofits.

There is no minimum donation amount. Gifts will be matched up to $1,500 per person per organization or $3,000 per household.

How it Works: Nonprofits

Qualifying Mitchell County nonprofits register to be a part of the Give to Grow event.

They receive gifts from donors that are matched by SVCF proportionally up to 100% from a matching pool of $50,000.

Gifts from donors are automatically added to the principal of their endowed fund. However, organizations may choose how to receive their matching dollars earned:

  • Option 1: Cash grant for immediate use. Only applicable if the fund has a balance of $10,000 or higher.

  • Option 2: Invest it into the organization's fund at SVCF.
