This is a recurring need. We meet the first Monday of every month from 5pm-8pm

The Mitchell County Historical Society is looking for dedicated volunteers to assist with our Artifact Moving & Unpacking Day, held on the first Monday of every month. As a Historical Artifact Volunteer, you’ll play a key role in preserving our county’s history by hauling and unpacking museum artifacts.

Additional Requirements

Volunteers should be comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs, climbing stairs repeatedly, and handling historical items with care.

The event starts at 11 am. We are looking for volunteers to take 2-hour shifts at the food stand.

The Summer Kids Café is hosting a special Fundraising Event at Chautauqua Park, and we need friendly food stand volunteers to help make it a success! As a Food Stand Volunteer, you’ll help take orders, serve food, and ensure guests enjoy a great experience—all while supporting a program that provides free, nutritious meals to kids in need during the summer months.

Our board meets monthly at noon. Additional committee meetings, and event attendance may be expected.

The Solomon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF) is seeking dedicated individuals to fill an open board position and help shape the future of our communities. As a board member, you'll play a vital role in overseeing grant making, supporting fundraising and donor engagement. Each board member also has the opportunity to serve on one of our three committees: Leadership Capacity, Development, and Finance.
