Youth Engagment

ONGOING

Our youth represent the heartbeat of our community's future. Within them, we see emerging leaders, innovators, and change-makers who will shape the course of our communities and drive progress forward. The SVCF Board has a passion and vision of engaging the youth of Mitchell County in philanthropy. Through committee work our Board identified 5th graders of Mitchell County as our focus for investment. Additionally, a Youth Action Council is currently in the works and will be launching in the Fall of 2025.

PHILANTHROPIC EDUCATION

By introducing students to the concept of giving, we help them understand how philanthropy strengthens communities. Through hands-on learning and discussions, they gain insight into the power of generosity and the impact of charitable giving.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Strong communities are built through active participation. By connecting students with local initiatives and nonprofits, we encourage them to take an active role in addressing community needs and creating meaningful change.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP

We believe in empowering the next generation of leaders. Through mentorship, service projects, and real-world experiences, students develop confidence, decision-making skills, and a sense of responsibility in shaping their community’s future.

COLLABORATION & GROWTH

Great things happen when people work together. Through teamwork and shared experiences, students learn the value of collaboration, develop problem-solving skills, and build a lifelong commitment to making a difference.
