Scholarship Recipients Announced!

Solomon Valley Community Foundation announces scholarship recipients

BELOIT, Kan. - The Solomon Valley Community Foundation has awarded over $3,700 in scholarships to area students for the upcoming academic year. This includes five scholarships that are being renewed for recipients from previous years.

The Fine Arts Future Development Higher Education Scholarship is for seniors graduating from the Solomon Valley area, including Mitchell, Cloud, and Jewell Counties, who are pursuing a major in Instrumental Music or Art. Julia Kindel, Concordia, was the recipient of this scholarship.

The Fine Arts Future Development Summer Camp Scholarship is for junior and senior high students in the Solomon Valley area, including Mitchell, Cloud, and Jewell Counties, who are pursuing a summer music or art camp. Emmery Manning, Beloit, was the recipient of this scholarship.

● The George Hoy Scholarship is for seniors graduating from Beloit High School or St. John the Baptist High School in Beloit. Peyton Reums from BHS and Emma Mick from STJ, each received this scholarship. The following students received a renewed scholarship: Anthony Henke, Osborne, Jane Letourneau, Shelly Chen, Maria Mick, and Addison Emmot, all of Beloit.
