Solomon Valley Community Foundation Awards Fall Grants

MITCHELL CO, KAN. During its fall grant cycle, the Solomon Valley Community Foundation awarded over $27,000 in grants to 9 projects throughout Mitchell County. The following organizations received funding:

  • Beloit Ministerial Association, for Angel Tree holiday dinner baskets.
  • Mitchell County Regional Medical Foundation, to enhance hospitality and accessibility at the Perdue Hospitality Home.
  • Beloit Baseball Organizations, for a press box and storage facility for the Beloit High School, American Legion, and K-18 teams.
  • The City of Glen Elder, for the implementation of an interactive mural.
  • Port Library, for Storytime and Stuffies supplies.
  • Ann’s Altar Society, for the purchase of an upright freezer.
  • Beloit Elementary, for the purchase of Code and Go mice robots.
  • Beloit USD 273, in support of an inclusive playground.
  • Mitchell County 12th Judicial District Court, for the purchase of laptops to be used for remote hearings and mental health screenings.

This round of grants was made possible by the community foundation’s Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund and Community Impact Fund.
