SVCF Celebrates Successful Match Month with over $83,000 raised locally!

The Solomon Valley Community Foundation is excited to announce yet another successful November Match Month campaign. As a result of generous donors throughout Mitchell County, and beyond, a total of $83,655 was raised!

This year’s campaign marked the second year of the Dane G. Hansen Foundation’s 200% match, and the first year of the Patterson Family Foundation’s additional $70,000 match. All in all, when factoring in both match opportunities, this year’s campaign will generate $253,655 that will stay right here, forever impacting the communities of Mitchell County.

With the addition of the Patterson Family Foundation’s matching opportunity, SVCF increased their annual goal and implemented the Get a Match, Make a Match campaign. SVCF Executive Director Julia Rabe explained, “everyone loves a matching opportunity and this year, thanks to the the Patterson Family Foundation’s generosity we were able to not only match donor dollars up to $70,000, but we were also able to allow additional dollars raised to then become the match for our newest Give to Grow initiative which we will be kicking off this spring.” She went on to say, “SVCF has benefited tremendously from years and years of match month campaigns and we are excited to now be able to offer match opportunities for our local non-profits who hold Organizational Funds with us.”

On behalf of the Solomon Valley Community Foundation, a heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who participated in this year’s campaign. Such goals could not be accomplished without the support of generous donors and community leaders. Alone we can do so little, but together we can accomplish much. Thank you for helping us plant seeds today for the generations of tomorrow!
