As the strength and conditioning program at Beloit Jr/Sr High School grows, the weight room requires more updating. One staple movement in the weight room is box jumps. These help improve power, force, explosion and the athletes verticals. The community foundation awarded USD 273 funding to purchase two stackable soft plyo boxes to replace the previous wood ones.
“The boxes we were able to purchase have made an immediate impact with our students. The kids feel 100% more comfortable jumping onto soft foam rather than the boxes that we had for the last 20 years,” said grantee Brad Gober.
